The Department has chosen to maintain the Summer Stages in Gironde for this new summer season, in order to support cultural actors and offer quality shows to Girondins and Girondins in nearly 150 municipalities in Gironde.
Culture occupies an essential place in social development. It cannot be considered as a luxury or an accessory, but rather as a lever of emancipation, a pillar of full citizenship and a tool for territorial cohesion.

The Summer Scenes concretize all the issues of the Department’s cultural policy: action in favor of all and in all territories, focused on associations, which promotes cultural employment and the emergence of artistic and cultural proposals that are financially accessible and close to places of life.
Numerous shows for all audiences, throughout Gironde from June to September: music, dance, theater, street arts, storytelling… 19 shows on tour invite you to explore the Gironde territory through numerous representations, punctuated by focuses on the environment, disability and even Occitan.
In total, 19 touring shows and 47 festivals will bring Gironde heritage to life during the summer. Every year, 300,000 spectators come to attend these shows.
