Friday May 29, 2026, as part of the “Terre de Résistance” festival which it is relaunching, the La Strada cinema in Decazeville, in Aveyron, is offering a screening of the film “Uprisings”, followed by a debate.
Created around fifteen years ago by the “Imatges” association chaired by Pierre Romaszko, and Arnaud Segond then director of the La Strada cinema in Decazeville, the “Terre de Résistance” festival had been dormant since Covid; apart from an evening in 2024 with Hélènes Desplanques around the notebooks of grievances of the yellow vests.
“We organized debate evenings, film debates throughout the year. La Strada is apolitical. We host debate evenings on many social subjects…interesting…; providing a space to discuss among themselves and with competent people.”
It is with this in mind that the new management of La Strada, made up of the duo Aymeric Grialou and Aurélie Almeida, wanted, with Pierre Romaszko, to relaunch “Terre de Résistance”, with Arnaud Segond as sponsor this year.

“Soulèvements”
The first meeting is this Friday, May 29, 2026 at 8:30 p.m. with a film debate evening around the documentary film “Uprisings” by Thomas Lacoste.
The debate will see the intervention of Jean-Luc Esberard (president of the Human Rights League of Rodez) and Marc Gilbert (Attac 12); LDH and Attac are among the partners of the film.
Released in February 2026, “Uprisings” gives voice to actors in ecological and social protest movements linked to the Uprisings of the Earth: l’Atelier Paysan, ZAD de Notre-Dame-des-Landes and Sainte-Soline.
“…They are thinking about returning to a society that takes people more into account,” indicates Pierre Romaszko.
Meetings throughout the year, a festival in September
Aymeric Grialou lifts the veil on the Terre de Résistance festival…: “We are refining the festival which will take place in September, probably several days in the last week of September. But there will be other meetings in the year 2026, probably 4 or 5 evenings, around a theme. This Friday 29 May, the theme is Doing differently. There is really an audience who really likes to come and discuss films and documentaries. We are continuing what we did in previous editions.
