According to the plan released by the Da Nang City People’s Committee, the festival is organized to create unique tourism products, promote the image of the destination and boost tourism in summer 2026; helping to position Da Nang as “Asia’s premier festival and events destination.”
The festival, whose theme is “Da Nang – Touch the Authentic”, is structured as an experiential journey on three emotional levels: “Feel – Appreciate – Discover”.
The main activities will take place at East Sea Park, Hoai River Square and many famous beaches such as My Khe, Pham Van Dong, Man Thai, Nam Xuan Thieu, An Bang, Cua Dai, Tam Thanh, Tam Tien…
The highlight of the festival is the opening ceremony held on the evening of July 23 at East Sea Park, with artistic performances, light shows, lion and dragon dances, and the participation of many singers and musical groups.
With the “Discover Da Nang” activity group, visitors can participate in sunrise yoga programs at Pham Van Dong, An Bang and Tam Thanh beaches; learn about meditation and tea ceremonies at the Linh Ung Pagoda; relax in the “Beachside Rest” space; discover the daily life of fishermen at the fish markets of Tam Tien and Man Thai; or hike Mount Son Tra while participating in environmental protection activities.
Under the “Enjoy Da Nang” activity group, the city organizes many beach sports events such as stand-up paddle races, beach volleyball, beach soccer, barefoot beach running, paragliding demonstrations, jet skiing, surfing and various obstacle courses.
The beach EDM area, open-air cinema, LED light kite art show, nighttime art performances and “Color the Sea” activity are also expected to attract many young people and tourists.
Note that this year’s festival will feature around 60 to 70 stalls in the “Flavors of Da Nang” food court, showcasing local, regional and international cuisine, with a particular focus on seafood and summer drinks.
Additionally, visitors can participate in the “Digital Journey to Discover Da Nang” via the festival app, with 10 check-in challenges at different locations across the city to receive gifts.
Many traditional cultural activities are also organized, such as dedicated craft spaces, craft workshops, marine art exhibitions, interactive games and the Hoi An Creative Week, which offers a series of artistic activities, seminars, night markets and performances folkloric.
Along with the festival, Da Nang will launch summer tour programs running from June to August 2026, such as “A Day Like a Da Nang Local”, “Da Nang Food Tours 2026 – Discover the Flavors of Da Nang”, and many other tourism revival programs.
According to the plan, the city will also intensify promotion of the festival on digital platforms, social media, airport and railway systems, airlines, and through travel influencers and TikTok users to spread the image of Da Nang as a destination among national and international tourists.
