Just fifteen minutes from Grenoble, the small hilltop village of Venon is once again preparing to change its pace… and its air. On Friday May 29 and Saturday May 30, the Changer d’airs festival returns for its thirteenth edition with a warm, festive program open to all, in one of the most beautiful settings in the city.

For several years, this spring event has become much more than a simple musical festival. Here, no gigantism or anonymous crowds: we come to Venon to share a friendly moment, discover emerging artists, enjoy an exceptional panorama of Grenoble and rediscover this spirit of proximity which makes all the charm of the event.

Music, but not only

The festival will begin on Friday May 29 at 8 p.m. in the beautiful village church with an intimate concert under the colors of Brazil. The musician Diogo Cadaval will open this edition with a duo promising a captivating musical interlude, carried by warm rhythms and an atmosphere conducive to escape.

But it is especially on Saturday May 30 that Venon will fully take on the air of a popular festival. From the afternoon, the surroundings of the school and the village hall will be transformed into a playground for young and old. Family entertainment, fun activities and shows for all ages will punctuate this day designed for all ages.

At 3 p.m., the company Les Colporteurs de Rêves will present Boulevard Boulegant a show announced as joyful, poetic and accessible to the whole family. A perfect way to open an evening that promises to be particularly festive.

From 8 p.m., the village square will vibrate under the stars with an eclectic and generous program mixing funk, hip-hop, electro, Afro-Mandingo music and Balkan swing. Three groups will perform in an atmosphere that promises to make the public dance until late in the evening: Saxbones, Balla Bangoura and Les Poissons voyageurs.

The charm of the festival is also due to its assumed simplicity: entry at a free and conscious price, catering and barbecue on site, friendly refreshment bar, signposted parking lots in the village… Everything is designed to allow the public to fully enjoy this moment suspended between music, meetings and the sweetness of life.
