During a Weverse live broadcast on May 20, the members of BTS found themselves in a relaxed atmosphere around a shared meal in a hotel room. RM, Jimin, J-Hope and Taehyung spoke freely about their daily lives and their experience on international tour.
But as the discussion progressed, a more serious subject emerged, directly touching on the relationship between celebrity and private life.
Taehyung returned to a reality that is often difficult to live with: that of being constantly filmed or followed when he is in public places. According to him, this permanent exposure ends up limiting his outings and sometimes prevents him from simply enjoying moments of relaxation outside of music.

In particular, he expressed his desire to be able to practice ordinary activities, such as playing pickleball, without attracting attention or being photographed.
The live passages were quickly relayed on social networks, sparking numerous reactions among ARMYs. Many fans stressed the need to respect artists’ boundaries and their right to privacy.
- “The airport and the stage are the only places where photos should be normal. Apart from that, we must give them space to live like anyone else.â€
- “I really wish people would stop sharing their private moments, it’s exhausting.â€
- “The fans can do better. Real people know not to do that. They already give us a lot of access to their lives, let’s give them their personal time.â€
Several Internet users also pointed out that a simple passage by Taehyung in a public place is often enough to transform the place into a gathering point, making any discretion impossible during future visits.

Beyond social networks, the members of BTS are regularly confronted with situations of intrusion into their private lives, in particular via paparazzi or unwanted gatherings.
According to certain information relayed in the group’s discussions, their team sometimes advises them to stay at the hotel in order to avoid crowds. Taehyung thus expressed his wish to be able to simply enjoy his travels and trips without being constantly photographed or followed.
This is not the first time that the issue of BTS members’ privacy has been at the center of discussions. During previous trips, notably to Japan during their tour, certain members had already been photographed in moments considered personal, sparking strong criticism towards certain media.

For some fans, these situations reflect an increasingly blurred boundary between the public life and private life of idols, fueled by the constant curiosity around the group.
Despite these debates, BTS continues its international activities. The group is expected soon at Allegiant Stadium, in Paradise (Nevada), for a new date of its world tour scheduled for May 23, 2026.
