No arrests at this stage
The investigation began on Friday morning following a report made by a family member of the mother. Three criminal investigation technicians were dispatched to the scene, under the direction of a forensic coordinator, while the scientific laboratory of the Toulouse police was requested to carry out urgent genetic analyses. No arrests have been made at this stage.
Significant human and material resources have been mobilized: 30 judicial investigators from the Toulouse research section and the Aveyron research brigades, divers, dog teams, technical drones, and a helicopter were deployed to conduct investigations under the direction of the Rodez prosecutor’s office.
A suspect already known to justice
The accused, identified as Cedric Prizzon, is the father of the adolescent. A former police officer, the man in his forties had already been convicted of failure to appear for child custody and harassment of his ex-partner, Nicolas Rigot-Muller stated. His current partner, also missing, had facilitated the failure to appear for which her partner had been convicted in 2022.
