Created in 2010, the SAJI is responsible for state policy on copyright and related rights, with expertise covering heritage law and artistic and literary creation, general public law, public economic law, social law, as well as protection law. personal data. It defines and implements the European policy of the ministry, as well as international cultural cooperation.

Cécile Favarel-Garrigues, for her part, is appointed head of department, deputy to the general director of artistic creation, from June 1, 2026, for a period of three years, with a probationary period of six months, according to a decree published on May 14 last.
