In an interview posted online this Monday, May 18 by Mediapart, the television host who filed a complaint against Patrick Bruel for “rape” returns to the events which allegedly took place at the singer’s apartment in 1991, when she was still a teenager.
After filing a complaint against Patrick Bruel for rape last week, Flavie Flament speaks on camera for the first time in a video interview posted online by Mediapart this Monday and recorded this Saturday, May 16.
The TV presenter says she was drugged and raped at the singer’s home in 1991, when she was 16. “At 16, it is normally the age of the first emotions. It is not the age for rape in a Parisian apartment”, summarizes Flavie Flament.
Reacting to the comments of Patrick Bruel’s lawyer, Me Céline Lasek, on Franceinfo who affirmed that the singer had at the time an “episodic relationship” with the teenager, the host also said she was “absolutely stunned”.
“What do we mean by an episodic relationship?”, asks Flavie Flament. “I saw Patrick Bruel once when I met him, once in his apartment on rue de Jussieu, the number of times I was forced to receive him on my shows.”
The host is “absolutely formal, I have absolutely never had a relationship, whatever it may be, with Patrick Bruel”.
Also confronted with the comments of Christophe Ingrain, Patrick Bruel’s other lawyer, accusing him on BFMTV of “instrumentalizing criminal law”, the host said she was “speechless”.
