Eight Women Accuse Patrick Bruel of Sexual Violence: Celebrities React

Following revelations by Mediapart on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, stating that eight women accuse Patrick Bruel of sexual violence, celebrities are speaking out on social media.

Actress Andréa Bescond shared a harsh message against Patrick Bruel on her Instagram account.

“I remember in 2022, you crashed a feminist festival party where I was a judge, you acted pitiful because I refused to come. I boycotted you and spent the night in my hotel room. (…) At that time, there were already complaints filed against you.”

“You bad-mouthed me all over Paris”

In her message, the actress claimed that the singer had “bad-mouthed her all over Paris” after the festival. Among those who responded was Alexandra Lamy, in agreement with Andréa Bescond’s statements. “I was at the after-party with you!!! Bravo my Andréa,” wrote the actress. Before correcting herself: “After-party!! Sorry, got carried away.”

Alexandra Lamy’s daughter, Chloé Jouannet, also reacted to these revelations with a “Finally.” “Ah, that’s surprising,” quipped singer Pomme. “There you go! We know!” declared TV host Enora Malagré, quickly followed by Anouchka Delon: “Strength to all.” This post was “liked” by singer Suzane and sparked dozens of comments.

“I thank and support all the women who have the courage to speak out and file complaints against you today, as well as those who have done so before (…) Fuck you Patrick.”

Two complaints for rape and attempted rape

Eight women, whose testimonies were published in an article on the Mediapart website on March 18, 2026, accuse Patrick Bruel of sexual violence that allegedly occurred between 1992 and 2019. Two complaints have been filed against the singer for rape and attempted rape.

Among the women who testified against Patrick Bruel is Daniela Elstner, current general manager of Unifrance, who filed a complaint on March 12, 2026, accusing the singer of attempted rape during the 1997 French film festival in Acapulco, Mexico.

Patrick Bruel’s lawyer, Christophe Ingrain, stated that the Mediapart article “creates a character and a system that never existed,” adding that his client “never crossed a refusal, never forced a gesture or a sexual encounter.”

Referring to two investigations opened following complaints from two masseuses and closed in December 2020 by the Nanterre prosecutor, Ingrain emphasized that “on a large part of the facts mentioned in the article, the justice system had already ruled.”

In Perpignan, a masseuse in her thirties accused the singer of sexual assault during a massage session in a hotel in July 2019. Patrick Bruel, 66, was also under preliminary investigation for indecent exposure and sexual harassment following accusations in 2019 by another hotel masseuse in Corsica. He was also reported to Swiss authorities, but the case was closed there as well.
