On March 21st at 7 pm, at 120 route de Montaize, in Saint-Christol-lez-Alès, the musical bar and nightclub “Chez Kenzo & Sons” is having its grand opening. A nighttime establishment for people “who like to party” but in a secure environment, assures Vincent Velazquez, the owner.

“If you like to party, you have to come here,” promises Vincent Velazquez, owner of the brand-new musical bar and nightclub located on the outskirts of Alès. The inauguration of this establishment offering a dance space, drink service, and snacks is set for Saturday, March 21st, at 7 pm. The project was motivated by the “lack of this concept” in Alès, according to the owner. Two free shuttles (with security provided by security guards) are also set up to tour Alès and the surrounding municipalities.

A “Open to All” Establishment

Vincent Velazquez points out that “There are few musical bars in Alès and the surrounding areas, and prices are often unaffordable.” However, according to the owner of “Chez Kenzo & Sons,” “people are not rich, but they want to have fun.” This new 350m3 nightclub is therefore “open to all” (except minors, of course). The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, from 7 pm to 5 am. “We will give out small gifts,” the owner jokes.

Free entry, reservable VIP area, alcohol for sale at the bar, a supervised and secure snack area outside the establishment – the offering promises to be extensive. “We have a category four license,” assures Vincent Velazquez. But the program goes further. Open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 11 pm to 6 am, “Chez Kenzo & Sons” will play all kinds of music: “what makes you move, while still being fun and for the new generation.” A DJ will provide the musical accompaniment. Specifically, Wednesdays will be dedicated to karaoke nights. On Sundays, from 1 pm to 6 am, there will be a different program. “From 1 pm until the start of the evening, it will be waltz, tango, and ‘bal musette’ afternoon.” The owner of “Chez Kenzo & Sons” has big plans and already talks about a “summer program and pool parties.” Stay tuned.

Shuttles and Security

One word for security: serious. “Several security guards at the entrance of the musical bar. A well-lit and secure parking lot. Security guards on the shuttles to reassure travelers,” details the proprietor. Speaking of shuttles – two of them, free of charge, will tour the Alès metropolitan area to pick up visitors. Two additional free shuttles will make the return trip at 3 am, just before the closing of the musical bar.

The first shuttle, with about twenty seats, will pass through “Salindres, Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues, Tamaris, Alès bus station, Boulevard Louis Blanc, and the Town Hall square.” The second one, with about fifty seats, will cover a larger area: “it will pass through Saint-Chaptes, La Calmette, Vézénobres, Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas, and finish in Saint-Christol-lez-Alès.”

A free parking area is available for those who wish to access the establishment, provided, of course, that they leave sober or accompanied by someone who has not indulged in the festivities of this nighttime establishment.
