The White Night is a unique cultural event that transforms Paris into a huge museum open all night. Once a year, the city’s cultural spaces, from museums to art galleries, open their doors free of charge to the public for a night of art and discoveries. It is an exciting celebration of culture and art, an opportunity for all to experience unique exhibitions, performances and installations.
At the heart of this cultural night, the Guimet Museumalso known as National Museum of Asian Artsoffers an unparalleled experience this Saturday June 6, 2026. Founded in 1879 by Emile Guimeta French industrialist and scholar passionate about Asia, this museum houses one of the most important collections of Asian art outside of Asia. From India to China via Japan, the museum offers a journey through 5,000 years of Asian art history, in 5,500 m² of permanent galleries; through the cultures, religions and arts of this diverse continent.
More than 10,000 objects teach us more about the History of Asia and the Middle Ages. In the collection, furniture, clothing, ceramics, sculptures, manuscripts, but also contemporary works, including Japanese ceramics from Hakuko Ono, Takahiro Kondo, Machiko Ogawa…, photographs of the Cambodian Mak Remissa and Japanese Takashi Araibut also the work of bamboo Chikunsai Tanabewhich offer another look at this continent which seems attached to its traditions but is constantly renewing itself.

On the occasion of Nuit Blanche, the Musée Guimet gives carte blanche to the South Korean artist Seulgi Lee. In resonance with his installation Dal Dari, The Moon and the Legs on the facade and in the Rotunda of the museum, the artist transforms this exceptional night into an invitation to enter the heart of his universe.
For this evening, BAM, which means “night” in Korean, Seulgi Lee has imagined a lively program, inviting several artists who echo her own artistic practice, in homage to the moon.
The artist Arthur Fléchard will present a performance at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. entitled The question of yellow.
At 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., anthropologist and philosopher Pierre Déléage will come and tell stories about the moon.
At 9 and 9:30 p.m., two artist short films will be screened in the auditorium: Delivery dancer’s sphere by Ayoung Kim and MM, UH, OH AH by Na Hye Choi.
Oan Kim & the Dirty Jazz will conclude the evening with music during a jazz concert from 10 p.m.
