IN BRIEF • Prices for transport tickets between London and Paris are exploding for the 2026 music festival, reaching more than 1,000 pounds for a trip for two people on FlixBus.
• A TikTok user warns of these exorbitant prices, provoking viral and humorous reactions on social networks.
• Despite the anticipation of the British, the program of the festivities remains unknown.

It is a particularly popular event on the other side of the Channel. Spending the music festival in Paris has become very hyped among the British, as observed HuffPost on social networks last year.

For the 2026 edition, the success of this festival « so French » does not seem to be contradicting itself. For this, one indicator does not lie: the price of transport tickets between London and Paris. The alert came from Yasmina, a presumably British TikTok user, a few days ago.

“If you’re thinking of going to the music festival and booking at the last minute, forget itâ€writes the young woman who compares prices: 880 pounds sterling (around 1,015 euros) for a round trip for two people on Eurostar and more than 1,000 pounds (1,185 euros) for the same trip on FlixBus.

“De la folie!” »

The Air France flight between the capitals is a bit less expensive: 735 pounds (nearly 840 euros) all the same. Prices that HuffPost was able to verify for each of these journeys by leaving London on Saturday June 20 and leaving Paris the following Monday.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen prices this high,” comments Yasmina, whose publication has gone viral. A screenshot of his own video was shared on X by Louis Pisano, an American journalist based in Paris, with a murderous comment: “British girls spend the crazy sum of 1,000 pounds on FlixBus to go to the music festival. STAY AT HOME!”

Even though Yasmina does not indicate that she actually bought these tickets at a high price, there was no shortage of reactions. “£1,000 to get to Bercy ptdrrrr, it’s better to actually laugh about it”quips an X user. “C’est de la FOLIE”comments another. « À ce prix-là , va louer ton propre bus »recommends a third with humor.

On TikTok, a British TikToker is outraged: “If anyone pays that price, cancel everything! Cancel the music festival! […] C’est abuse… »

The British who have anticipated sufficiently will undoubtedly be able to attend the June 21 celebration, but they have booked blindly: the program of the festivities is not yet known. Last year, a major concert organized by France 2 near the Tuileries gardens brought back the spirit of the 2024 Olympic Games.
