A few hours before the start of the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, many celebrities have already been seen on the Croisette.
The excitement begins to take over the Croisette a few hours before the opening ceremony of the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, with this year the actress Eye Haïdara as mistress of ceremonies. Many celebrities, including German top model Heidi Klum, landed at Nice airport this Monday, May 11, before heading to Cannes and putting down their suitcases in their five-star hotels near the red carpet of the Palais des Festivals.
Like every year, the members of the jury were invited to a gourmet dinner at the La Palme d’Or restaurant at the Martinez, the day before the launch of the event. All were photographed in the hotel lobby early in the afternoon, including Demi Moore, sunglasses screwed on her nose and Gucci bag in her hand. The American actress, whose career was relaunched in 2024 thanks to the film The Substanceawarded at the festival in 2025, is one of the most anticipated stars of this edition. She will, with the other members of the jury, including directors Laura Wandel and Oscar winner Chloé Zhao, have to decide between the 22 films in competition, and award the prestigious Palme d’Or.

Other stars seen at Nice airport and on the Croisette the day before the Festival kicks off: actress Leïla Bekhti, president of the Un Certain Regard jury, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, James Franco, Laurent Lafitte, but also Anaïs Demoustier, who will climb the steps of the Palais des Festivals this evening with Pio Marmaï and Vimala Pons for the film The Electric Venus , projected at the opening.
