The 48th edition of this festival takes place from March 20th to 28th in several cinemas in Paris. A community threatened with expropriation in Argentina, the life of homeless people in France – our selection of five films to face the world.

The battle for the City Hall is coming to an end and Paris is opening up to the world. With Cinema du Réel, the capital offers one of its major international events: a documentary festival that has become an institution while renewing itself over time, guided by curiosity. Filming reality becomes everyone’s affair, both established filmmakers and beginners. This is the beautiful challenge of Catherine Bizern, seeking different perspectives at the head of the event. The documentary practice is on the screen as much as in our lives, accompanying political struggles as well as intimate stories or artistic adventures – dance being one for Juliette Binoche.
