A musical bridge between Provence and Rio de Janeiro

Musicians Cristiano Nascimento and Claire Luzi, leading figures of the project, have just returned from a three-week tour in Rio de Janeiro. Accompanied by Cécile Devors, they presented “Linha Dois”, the latest creation by Cristiano Nascimento, at the very heart of carioca culture.his stay was marked by key interventions and meetings : participation in the Trem do Choro for National Choro Day, musical sessions (“rodas”) with renowned local artists such as the twins Valter and Valdir Silva, or a visit to the Memória do Cavaquinho Brasileiro Institute. A chance meeting with the famous musician Hamilton de Holanda in front of the historic house of Pixinguinha, one of the fathers of choro, symbolically crowned this immersion journey.
