Despite their 4th place, the girls from TUC can be proud of the organization of this event and, above all, of their successful season.

For the first time in the history of the National 1 championship, the top four teams competed in playoffs to determine the champion team and those who will advance to the next level (directly or after a playoff). Unfortunately for the TUC girls, their first match was against Wattignies, the regular season’s top team and champions at the end of the final tonight.

The Tuc’ettes then played the third-place match against Lille. Once again, they were defeated. “We hoped for third place but we are where we belong. We defended well, but they scored a great goal to win, so their quality must also be acknowledged,” said president Sophie Raffy. However, the crucial point was not the result for the group that changed coaches this season and also lost some key players. “It’s good to have reached the top 4. It’s been two years in a row now. I think the next step might be a bit high. Let’s be realistic and gain experience,” projects the president.
