Zelensky: Defense forces hit Russian oil facility 700 kilometers from the border

Ukrainian defense forces struck an oil facility in Yaroslavl in the Russian Federation 700 km from the Ukrainian border.

According to Ukrinform, this is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Facebook.

“Yaroslavl, more than 700 kilometers from the national border of Ukraine. An oil installation that had great importance in financing the Russian war, a déclaré Zelensky.

He thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military intelligence services for “this manifestation of justice”.

The drone attack on the Yaroslavl refinery was confirmed by the OSINT analysis of the ASTRA Telegram channel.

According to analyzes and eyewitness videos, the Slavnafta-YANOS refinery caught fire following the attack. This factory had already been targeted several times by drones.

Slavnafta-YANOS is a refinery specializing in the production of fuels and lubricants. It is among the five largest Russian refineries in terms of volume of processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and is the largest oil refinery in the Central Federal District of Russia.

Residents of another Russian city Rostov-on-Don reported numerous explosions and a fire after a nighttime attack.

The city of Perm was also once again the target of a drone attack. Local governor Dmitro Makhonin confirmed the attack on the region, specifying that “Enemy drones flew over industrial sites in the Perm region.” According to initial information, there are no victims or injuries.

“Long-range Ukrainian sanctions continued to act in response to Russian strikes on our cities and towns. Russia must choose true peace, and only strong pressure will achieve this.”the president underlined.
