The fourth Artistic Meetings at the Dominicans begin this Wednesday, May 13 around a unifying theme: borders. For two weeks, sixteen artists will confront paintings, sculptures, engravings, photographs and ceramics in a collective exhibition designed as a dialogue between the works.

Geographical borders, borders of reality, invisible, natural, porous borders, borders between materials… The theme is at the heart of the fourth Dominican Artistic Meetings which begin this Wednesday, May 13. Ceramics, engraving, painting, photography, sculptures, no less than sixteen visual artists* present works that match, respond to, and echo each other for an exhibition open to the public for two weeks*.

Among these creators, the artist designer from Clermont-l’Hérault, Didier Crémieux, has lived in the United States since 1977 but maintains deep ties to the heart of Hérault. He is one of the initiators of these Artistic Meetings “which are meetings of friends who have an artistic practice. It’s a collective that varies quite a bit from one year to the next”presents Villenevoise Sophie Rozier who will present her engravings. “It’s exciting to confront these diverse arts in a very vast space which allows sixteen artists to be brought together”she appreciates.

A collective work of highlighting

In October 2025, the previous edition was devoted to the theme of elevation. “We had already created a scenography to harmonize all the installations. There is more mastery than during the first editions, visitors had noticed and appreciated this collective presentation work. Over the years, we have refined this approach.” The new edition should therefore be part of this beautiful dynamic. The opening is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, at 7 p.m. and a musical evening is scheduled for Friday, May 15, at 8 p.m., with the group NÜ.

Open every day from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
