Back in training, Tyrese Haliburton suffers on defenseEleven months after his Achilles tendon rupture, Tyrese Haliburton finally sees the end of the tunnel. His convalescence will have been longer than that of Jayson Tatum, and after a setback, the Pacers leader can finally train normally.

“I started playing five-on-five again, then I suffered from shingles. “It kind of shut down everything for about three weeks, so it slowed things down for a while.” details the leader of the Pacers. “But now I am gradually coming back. I’ve just started playing five-on-five again as the summer progresses, and we have a mini camp with the group in a few weeks. I will be all for that. So yeah, it was tough for a little while, but now it’s okay. HAS”

In terms of the game, no apprehension, but he recognizes that it will take time to regain speed and mobility in defense. And as he admits, that was already his strong point…

“Defensively, I feel like I’m a step behind… I’m already not a great defender at base level. But here, I’m playing against trainees and I’m wondering why this guy is fining me a little… It’s mainly a question of regaining support, pivots, that kind of thing. Offensively, when I control my movements, I feel great. Defensively, when I have to react to others, that’s where it will get better over time. HAS”
