In Bayonne, the race is expected from 3:50 p.m. for a 12-kilometer relay through the city, “between Saint-Bernard and Saint-Amand, passing through Hauts de Bayonne, the Saint-Esprit district (crossing the bridge at 4:36 p.m.), Grand Bayonne, Saint-Léon, Les Arenas,” indicates the municipality. The activities will take place a little earlier in the day, including “a sung and musical street pass”, specifies Guy Mondorge.
In Anglet, the Passem must enter the town around 5 p.m. and pass through the Anglet town hall at 5:21 p.m. A short passage is then planned via the Boulevard des Plages to the Chambre d’Amour, around 5:45 p.m.
La Passem, kézaco ?
Created in 2018, organized by the Ligams association, the Passem takes place every two years. Its goal: to promote the Occitan language and culture. Its passage through the Gascon territories is an opportunity for cultural events and media coverage. The race also raises funds. Over the course of ten days, the race is divided into 2,000 relays of approximately one kilometer each, available for sale at the price of 100 euros each. The money collected over the kilometers purchased is then “redistributed by Ligams during calls for projects around the Gascon language and culture. This represents significant financial support,” explains Guy Mondorge.

A free musical performance is planned for 5 p.m. Named “A tot vedent”. This show was “created especially for the occasion by Fanny Châtelain, professional musician at the head of the polyphonic trio Charnègue Arraditz”, presents a press release from Anglet. After the arrival of the relay, a free concert-ball will follow with the Minvielle-Tisnèr quartet, Galatic Aulhèrs and Karnahas, from 8 p.m. The festivities will end around 11:30 p.m.
