The message was accompanied by a photograph of the spokesperson holding her baby close in a pink-themed room.
Karoline Leavitt, who last briefed the press on April 27th, did not specify the length of her maternity leave and has not been formally replaced. At 28 years old, she is the youngest person ever appointed to the position of “Press Secretary” at the White House. In her absence, other government representatives are expected to occasionally conduct the traditional press conferences at the White House.
