A woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 80 Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said the crash happened around 2:40 p.m. near the Richards Boulevard exit in Davis. The woman was a passenger on a motorcycle that was following a pickup truck when traffic slowed down. The motorcycle driver, a man, rear-ended the pickup truck, causing the woman to be ejected from the motorcycle and land in front of a big rig, where she was run over and died at the scene. The motorcycle driver was unharmed, and no other injuries were reported. Alcohol or drugs do not seem to have been involved in the crash. Interstate 80 traffic was delayed, blocking two eastbound lanes, but has since reopened.
