Like every first Monday in May, all eyes were on the Met Gala 2026. Last night, the biggest figures in fashion, music and cinema gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, Costume Art.
This year, the theme “Fashion Is Art“(editor’s note: “Fashion is art”) left room for a particularly free interpretation of the dress code, inviting celebrities to make the red carpet a true living work of art. Between sculptural silhouettes, creations Theatrics and ultra-expressive details, the border between fashion and art has become more blurred than ever.
The list of guests, as always, brings together the biggest names on the international scene, starting with the co-presidents Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, Anna Wintour et Beyoncé. The evening also marked the latter’s grand return to the Met Gala, a highly anticipated appearance since she had not walked the steps of the museum since the 2016 edition, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology« .
The red carpet also welcomed the host committee, chaired by Anthony Vaccarello et Zoë Kravitzalongside many personalities including Sabrina Carpenter, Lisa, Teyana Taylor, Alex Consani, Rebecca Hall, Paloma Elsesser, Misty Copeland or even the couple Jeff Bezos et Lauren Sanchez Kisses.
