Merz says he won’t give up working with Donald Trump
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated on Sunday that he will not give up working with U.S. President Donald Trump, despite a disagreement between the two leaders regarding the war in the Middle East.
“I am not giving up on working on the transatlantic relationship. And I am not giving up on working with Donald Trump,” Friedrich Merz said in an interview on the public channel ARD.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated on Sunday that the United States is suffocating the Iranian regime with an economic blockade alongside the military offensive launched with Israel against Iran.
“President Donald Trump ordered in March to put maximum pressure [on Iran] and three weeks ago, he ordered Treasury and myself to start [the operation] ‘Economic Fury’,” the minister explained.

One dead, eight injured in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon
Israeli airstrikes on Sunday resulted in one death and eight injuries, including four medics, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The ministry condemned the attacks, noting that they violate the Geneva Convention’s requirement to ensure that medical facilities are safe from attacks in conflict zones.
