The Israeli army carried out a raid in the city of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, killing one Palestinian and injuring four others.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 26-year-old Nayif Firas Ziyad Semmaro died from serious head injuries caused by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire during the incursion in Nablus.
It was also reported that four Palestinians, including two children, were injured in the operation.
The Palestinian Red Crescent stated that 40 Palestinians were affected by tear gas used by Israeli forces, with 10 being transferred to the hospital.
The An-Najah University Hospital in Nablus confirmed that a Palestinian severely injured by Israeli gunfire was admitted and treated.
Local sources said that Israeli soldiers threw stun grenades and tear gas at Palestinians, as well as at medical teams and journalists during the raid.
Eye witnesses reported many Israeli military vehicles entering the city through the Deir Sharaf checkpoint and deploying on Asira Street.
It was also specified that Israeli forces conducted searches in some businesses located in the Ain refugee camp and on Sufyan Street in the city center.
A 13-year-old child injured in East Jerusalem
In a statement from the Jerusalem governorate, it was reported that Israeli soldiers beat a 13-year-old Palestinian child in the town of Er-Ram, north of occupied East Jerusalem.
The injured child was taken to the Palestinian Medical Complex for treatment.
Arrests continue in the West Bank
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces raided the village of Deir al-Ghusun, linked to the city of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank, arresting numerous Palestinians.
The media reported that Israeli soldiers evacuated a house to turn it into a military headquarters and interrogation center.
In the southern West Bank, settlers began opening a new settlement road on Palestinian lands in the village of Beit Awa near Hebron.
According to Palestinian data, since October 2023, at least 1,155 Palestinians have been killed in attacks by the Israeli army and settlers in the West Bank, nearly 11,750 people have been injured, and about 22,000 have been arrested.
