On Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th April 2026, the Ciné Cité association is organizing two film screening evenings followed by discussions with the film teams at the Planet’Ciné in Alençon, Orne. The program will focus on raising awareness about autism and the journey of a child facing armed conflicts.

The first evening on Monday 27th April at 8 pm is in partnership with Ornéode and Autism Basse-Normandie. Ornéode, formerly known as Adapei de l’Orne, supports people with disabilities and promotes their inclusion. Two short films by Tarik Ben Salah will be screened, focusing on the life of an autistic young man and concerns about the future of autistic individuals.

The event aims to be inclusive to help the audience better understand autism through discussions based on the films presented. The screenings will include a discussion with the director and producer of the films, Tarik Ben Salah and Daoud Tatou, respectively.

On Tuesday 28th April at 8:30 pm, the audience will discover “Allah n’est pas obligé,” an animated film based on Ahmadou Kourouma’s novel, directed by Zaven Najjar. The story follows Birahima’s journey from Guinea to Liberia, where he encounters child soldiers, altering his fate.

The screening will include a discussion with the screenwriter Karine Winczura, who will also interact with the audience after the session. In the afternoon, she will engage with students from the cinema option at Marguerite-de-Navarre high school.

The films being presented are “Vulnérables” and “L’après-nous” on Monday 27th April at 8 pm, and “Allah n’est pas obligé” on Tuesday 28th April at 8:30 pm. The admission fee is 5 euros.
