The students of the defense class at Gaston-Bachelard school in Bar-sur-Aube went to meet the soldiers deployed on the Orion 2026 exercise, in the presence of their sponsoring unit, the 61st artillery regiment based in Semoutiers. The students had the opportunity to witness the installation of a floating bridge intended to facilitate the passage of numerous armored vehicles engaged in a major exercise of the army, in open terrain and in contact with the population. A great experience with the military delegation of the Haute Marne department and the 7th armored brigade.

Orion is a military exercise during which the French armies face high-intensity combat. It takes place from February 8 to April 30, and, due to its scope, aims to lead to a major engagement, to act within a coalition framework, and to mobilize the state, allies, and the population in service of national resilience.
