Discussing the conflict in Iran and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Pete Hegseth accused European countries of taking advantage of US protection for decades. He referred to Europe benefiting as a form of parasitism and emphasized that the US does not rely on Europe in their conflict with Iran.
Hegseth stated that the blockade of Iranian ports will continue as long as necessary, with additional US reinforcements in the region soon. He urged Iran to establish a wise agreement with the US, stating that the chance for a serious deal lies with the Iranians.
Additionally, Hegseth claimed Tehran would never obtain nuclear weapons and emphasized the readiness of the US military to resume strikes at any time.
