Sylvie Vartan and other celebrities gathered at the Saint-Sulpice Church in Paris on the morning of April 24th to bid a final farewell to Nathalie Baye.
Dressed in black and sunglasses for some, the guests were numerous to surround Laura Smet, the only daughter of the actress born in 1983 from her romance with Johnny Hallyday.
The half-brother of Surface star David Hallyday was present along with his mother, singer Sylvie Vartan. Other close ones of the actress, like her agent Dominique Besnehard, did not miss the appointment.
The French cinema and comedy, which Nathalie Baye marked in over fifty years of career, were represented – among others – by Catherine Deneuve, Fanny Ardant, Josiane Balasko and her daughter Marilou Berry, Richard Berry, Francis Huster and François Ozon.
Former weekend news anchor of TF1 Claire Chazal also came to pay her respects, accompanied by two close friends of the Hallyday clan, Michel Drucker and singer Eddy Mitchell.
Emmanuel Macron, who had praised X as a “companion with whom we have loved, dreamed, grown up”, was represented at the funeral by his wife, Brigitte Macron.
