In April 2025 in Quimper, and in September in Concarneau, the Finistère Departmental Federation of Armored Cavalry and Tank Combat (FDABCCC29) is organizing a new information forum on defense and security careers. This event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Dan Ar Braz space.
“Visitors will be able to learn about the wide range and diversification of careers offered by the French military, the national gendarmerie, the national police, and the firefighters; as well as the needs of volunteers where young people can get involved: Red Cross and others,” explained Christophe Cochu, president of FDABCCC29.
Demonstrations of drones and dog handlers will also be available to the visitors, who will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from various sectors and fields regarding recruitment or career advancements. A village bringing together several “memorial, patriotic, and security associations” will be set up, allowing them to showcase their structures and raise awareness about their activities within the communities.
This forum is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, or job seekers to learn about the wide employment opportunities in defense and security services, with or without a diploma, as stated by Christophe Cochu.
Practical information: Free entry. From 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Dan Ar Braz space, Rue de Stang Bihan.
