Revealed to the general public through Star Academy, Helena quickly moved from the status of candidate to establish herself as an artist to watch. Fueled by immediate enthusiasm, she has achieved success after success, starting with her debut album “Héloïse,” which has sold nearly 195,000 copies. But behind this success, the pace has intensified: concerts, festivals, TV appearances, tours… the young singer now lives at a hundred miles an hour, without a real break. Faced with this frenetic pace, Helena has made a strong decision. After her tour and summer commitments, she plans to step away from the stage for about a year. A break not to be taken lightly, seen as a time to refocus, learn, and redefine her artistic identity. More than just a simple break, this pause signals her desire to take a step back and detach herself from the “Star Academy” label in order to write the next chapter of her journey in her own way.
Helena takes a step back: a year to refocus and reinvent herself
On social media and in interviews, fatigue sometimes reared its head: “I do get tired, yes. I feel the need to rest. There are days when I think, ‘I just want to sit on my couch and read a book,’ but I know very well that it wouldn’t last more than a day,” Helena recently confided to Max magazine. Between promotions, TV spots, studio sessions, and concerts, the pace does not slow down. Little by little, the idea of taking a break became obvious: Helena has decided to ease off. Once her tour is over and her appearances at major summer festivals are done, she plans to disappear from the radar “for about a year”: “I think I’m going to fade away for a year after the end of the tour.” A thoughtful decision to regain balance, reconnect with a simpler life, and make room for new inspirations. “You have to go through joyful and sad experiences to be able to write new songs. I don’t want to fall into the cliché of an artist who only knows how to talk about their artistic life,” she explains.

However, this break will not be synonymous with inactivity, far from it! Helena already has a full list of plans, between personal desires and new challenges. She wants to improve at playing the guitar and piano, get back into serious sports, but also experience living abroad to discover another culture and improve her English. An immersion that is close to her heart: “I want to… live with a family that isn’t mine, like I did when I was younger,” she says. Personally, the singer also plans to change her daily life. She has started the process to adopt a dog and is currently on a waiting list, with the desire to fully invest in this new responsibility. “I need to let myself live before going back to the studio,” she says. Beyond rest, this break also has a deeper significance: detaching herself from the Star Academy image and building an identity that truly reflects her. Stay tuned.
