The central defender of Spurs, Kevin Danso, was targeted after the draw against Brighton this Saturday.
Racism continues to flourish in the world of football. This weekend, the Austrian defender of Tottenham, Kevin Danso, was targeted on social media after his error in stoppage time cost Spurs victory against Brighton (2-2).
A flood of insults prompted his club to communicate on social media, condemning the “abhorrent and dehumanizing” comments aimed at the former RC Lens player. “Kevin has our full support, as a player and as a person. No one in this club will ever be alone in this situation. Racism has no place at Tottenham and racism has no place in the world of football,” commented the current 18th in the Premier League, who demands “the most severe sanctions possible against each identified individual.”
