Meghan Markle, born Rachel Meghan Markle on August 4, 1981 in Los Angeles, California, is the daughter of Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, an African American mother and a father of Irish and Dutch descent.

Meghan attended Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic school in Los Angeles, and went on to earn a degree in Theater and International Relations from Northwestern University. She then pursued a career as an actress, appearing in television shows like “Suits” and films like “Remember Me.”

In addition to her acting career, Meghan is known for her charity work. She has collaborated with organizations such as World Vision Canada and UN Women, and was appointed as a UN Goodwill Ambassador in 2016.

In November 2017, Meghan announced her engagement to Prince Harry, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. They were married in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The couple has since welcomed two children, Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana.

Following her marriage, Meghan became the Duchess of Sussex and focused on issues like gender equality and women’s rights.
