L’Olympique de Marseille already knows that it will be without two of its defenders due to suspension against FC Nantes. Both received a crucial yellow card against FC Lorient on Saturday.

Bad news continues for Olympique de Marseille. After the defeat against FC Lorient (2-0), Habib Beye also learned that two of his defenders will miss the match against FC Nantes. Benjamin Pavard, already struggling in his performances, received a new yellow card at the hour mark. Coming off the bench, Timothy Weah received a warning in the last minute, rather curious for a player aware of the sword hanging over his head. The score of 2-0 was already settled.

Thus, the two options as right backs in the squad will be missing for the trip to Beaujoire. It remains to be seen which option Beye will choose to compensate for these two forced absences due to lack of discipline.

Nantes also faces a high stake

FC Nantes has been in a terrible slump for several months. The Canaries hope to secure their place in the Elite with their current position of 17th in the Ligue 1 standings. At home, in a Beaujoure stadium that is often full, the Nantais struggle to find solutions no matter the opponent.

In contrast, Marseille is not comfortable away from its fiery Vélodrome with 19 points out of 45 possible (6th in Ligue 1).
