The Orion Youth initiative in the Southeast Defense and Security area hosted immersive workshops to educate young people on complex crises, information management, and combating misinformation from March to April.
Students in Lyon 3’s master’s program in strategic intelligence and crisis management engaged in realistic scenarios to understand security issues, while Sciences Po undergraduates in Annecy participated in wargames to develop tactical thinking in critical situations.
Educational institutions like UCLy, ILERI, and high schools in Lyon and Puy-en-Velay provided training sessions to identify fake news, understand disinformation, and recognize the impact of influence in crises. Journalist Thomas Huchon shared expertise with high school students to analyze and counter misinformation.
These initiatives reflect an innovative educational approach focused on experiential learning, preparing students to navigate complex crises and become informed and resilient citizens in security, information, and geopolitical contexts.
