American journalist Tucker Carlson has once again caught the public’s attention by putting forward sharp and controversial ideas about US foreign policy.
According to him, since 1963 – the year of the assassination of the 35th US President, John F. Kennedy – the country’s leadership may have been limited in its ability to make independent decisions. Carlson believes that almost all presidents since then have acted under certain influences in foreign policy matters.
The journalist claims that this situation is particularly evident in relations with Israel. He believes that American leaders have often made decisions in line with the interests of that state, a policy that is now leading to serious economic and political consequences for the country.
Carlson also emphasized that it would be wrong to attribute this problem to just one person or one president. “It’s not just about Donald Trump. The problem is much deeper: how can a state of 9 million people influence the political direction of a country of 365 million people? What kind of system is this?” he pondered.
He added that the exact functioning of this mechanism currently lacks a clear and open answer. The journalist stressed the need to delve deeper and analyze this issue.
