With these new strikes, at least 168 people have been killed since September 2025 and the start of the American military campaign against suspected drug traffickers in the waters of the Pacific and the Caribbean.

The United States conducted new strikes in the Pacific Ocean against suspected drug trafficker boats on Saturday, killing five men, the US military announced on Sunday.

The strikes were carried out against two boats on April 11, the US Southern Command (Southcom) announced in a post on X, accompanied by aerial video of the attacks. “Two male narcoterrorists were killed, and one narcoterrorist survived the first strike. Three male narcoterrorists were killed in the second strike,” Southcom said.

With these new strikes, at least 168 people have been killed since September 2025 and the start of the American military campaign against suspected drug traffickers in the waters of the Pacific and the Caribbean.

The Donald Trump administration has never provided solid evidence to confirm that the targeted ships were actually involved in trafficking. The legality of this campaign has sparked a lively debate worldwide and within the American political class. Experts and UN officials have denounced extrajudicial executions.
