Emmanuel Macron’s popularity sees an increase in the latest polls Emmanuel Macron’s approval ratings have experienced a significant boost in recent surveys, despite facing criticism for his domestic policies. According to a study by Elabe for Les Echos, published on March 5, 25% of French citizens now trust him to effectively tackle the country’s challenges, marking a six-point increase in just one month and a nine-point increase over two months. This rise is considered quite remarkable by the institute.

On the international front, Macron’s approval ratings have also improved, with 18% of French citizens expressing confidence in his ability to address France’s issues, a slight increase from the previous month. These positive trends are attributed to Macron’s recent presidential address on March 3 at 8 p.m. which seems to have resonated well with the public.

A separate survey conducted by Vériam for Le Figaro magazine from March 1 to 3 yielded similar results, further indicating the upward trend in Macron’s approval ratings. With a notable increase in support from his first-round and second-round voters, Macron’s overall rating is on the rise. However, it is essential to note that Macron’s approval ratings tend to fluctuate over time.

The positive reception of Macron’s recent actions is not limited to his supporters. Even opposition figures like Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon have acknowledged the significance of Macron’s initiatives on the international stage. Despite some critics questioning his handling of certain situations, Macron’s efforts to safeguard French interests and citizens seem to be paying off in terms of public perception.
