In this new season, everyone at Idec Sports Racing hopes to excel as much as last year when car #18 finished 3rd in the overall classification of the European Le Mans Series with three wins to its name, including one at home during the 4h of Castellet. Despite this success, the team is not setting higher ambitions as they start the season with the prologue in Barcelona on Monday, where they emerged victorious last year.

“We are aiming for the top 5. We are not changing the goal because it would show a lack of humility,” emphasizes Nicolas Minassian, Team Manager of the team based in Signes near the Paul-Ricard circuit. “Consistency is key. If we are always in the top 5, at some point we will inevitably have an opportunity for victory because track conditions and car performance change…”

Similar to Mathys Jaubert, the Salonais who has joined Genesis for his WEC debut as part of the Trajectory Program supported by Idec Sport, the team has seen some new faces but maintains the same level of determination. “We train a lot of young people, both drivers and mechanics.
