Mais Mérignac-Arlac, after leading 1-0 with eleven against ten, drew two points (1-1) in their postponed derby against SA Mérignac last Wednesday. The start of the match was quite balanced. The Bordeaux suburbanites, with a back line of three and a very offensive team, allowed the locals to find spaces and play on the counterattack. A tactic appreciated by the Boulazac players.
They were dangerous on two occasions, through Wesly Clary and Oumar Tirera. But the final passes were not accurate. Despite a slight territorial domination, the squirrels seemed lackluster. They did try two consecutive shots but Rémí Bost made a good save
A gift from heaven
Then, like an Easter egg dropping into the Boulazac garden, goalkeeper François Danze completely missed his clearance and handed the ball to Valentin Bourdarie, alone 3 meters from the goal to push the ball into the net (1-0, 25th minute). The visitors reacted but the star was not in danger. On the contrary: Oumar Tirera, offside at the limit, found himself alone in front of the Bordeaux goalkeeper who fouled him. A clear penalty that allowed Charly Dessolas to make it 2-0 in the 57th minute.
Well organized in defense, the locals let the opponent have the ball. The chances were not clear for the Girondins but Rémi Bost had to admit defeat on a low shot from Kyllan Ramé near the post (2-1, 71st minute). Luckily, on the next attack, Valentin Bourdarie received a good cross in the box, to dribble and shoot (3-1, 72nd minute) and seal a much-needed victory.
