The President of the United States, Donald Trump, did not tone down his rhetoric this Easter, as he posted an especially insulting and obscenity-filled message aimed at Iran on Sunday. This message drew criticism from officials in the United States.
Published yesterday at 11:52, the message on his Truth Social platform raised eyebrows, especially on Easter Sunday. While Trump is known for his blunt speech, this message went beyond the usual.
“If I were in Trump’s administration, this Easter I would be calling constitutional lawyers regarding the 25th Amendment,” said Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, who is highly critical of the war against Iran.
The reactions were not limited to Democrats, as Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former Trump-supporting representative turned vocal critic, condemned Trump’s Easter morning message. Greene called on Christians in the administration to stop supporting Trump.
Others, like conservative influencer Laura Loomer, applauded Trump’s message. Loomer, who describes herself as a “proud Islamophobe,” often communicates with the President. She expressed joy over Trump’s statements about bombing militants back to the Stone Age.
In summary, Trump’s controversial Easter message has sparked mixed reactions, dividing opinions even within his own base.
