On April 8th, head to the Théâtre + Cinéma for a new session of “Sport & Ciné” where running and the feminization of sports will be the center of discussions.
The Théâtre + Cinéma of Grand Narbonne is hosting a new “Sport & Ciné” evening on Wednesday, April 8, organized in partnership with the Racing Club Narbonnais and the Athletic Club Narbonne-Méditerranée. The event will feature a screening of the documentary “Free to Run” by Pierre Morath at 8 pm, narrated by Philippe Torreton. The film celebrates the glory of free running and those who make it a reality, charting the incredible journey of running over forty years from a solitary sport to a universal passion. It captures the growing enthusiasm for a practice once considered marginal, now attracting nearly 50,000 enthusiasts from the streets of New York to the trails of the Alps.
Following the film screening, there will be a panel discussion on the feminization of sports.
“Sport & Ciné” organizers explain, “Sport is not just about physical performance; it is a place of emotional and passionate experiences, human adventures, and thrilling dramas. It is no wonder that it has caught the interest of many filmmakers, as it mirrors society and is not immune to the twists of history.”
