President of the United States gives Iran 48 hours to conclude an agreement

  • The American president gave Iran “48 hours” on Saturday to “conclude an agreement or reopen the Strait of Hormuz.”
  • Otherwise, the United States would unleash “hell” on the Islamic Republic.
  • Tehran’s response came in the evening, with Iranian armed forces deeming Donald Trump’s threats “stupid.”

The response did not wait. The American president, in a message posted on his Truth Social network, threatened on Saturday, April 4, to “unleash hell” on Iran if the Islamic Republic did not conclude an agreement or reopen the Strait of Hormuz within “48 hours.” “Time is running out,” reminded Donald Trump, who had given the mullah regime 10 days on March 26 to reach an agreement to end the war.

The response to these threats came a few hours later: “The aggressive and warlike American president, after suffering successive defeats, has embarked, in a helpless, unstable, nervous, and stupid manner, on threatening the infrastructures and property” of Iran, said General Ali Abdollahi, head of the Iranian armed forces’ command post.

“With our armed forces, we will not hesitate for a single moment to defend the rights of our country, protect our property, and put any aggressor in their place,” he added, as reported by state television on Telegram.

Trump’s ultimatums to Iran: “Action will be necessary, and if he does not act, he will lose all credibility,” said General François Chauvancy on LCI.

Donald Trump’s ultimatum is set to expire on Monday, April 6, at 8 p.m. Washington time. In the absence of the reopening of the strait, the American president had threatened to destroy power plants in Iran. On Saturday night, the Iranian army warned that “in the event of an attack by the American-Zionist enemy, we will target all infrastructures used by the American terrorist army, as well as the infrastructures of the Zionist regime, without exceptions, in destructive and continuous attacks.”

“Since the beginning of this imposed war, we have kept our promises, this message simply means that you will open the gates of hell,” concluded General Abdollahi.
