In an address to the nation, President Donald Trump stated that the United States was close to achieving its goals in the war against Iran and would continue to strike the country very hard for another two to three weeks. Trump emphasized the decisive victories and necessary strikes to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Despite the progress, Trump warned that the end of the conflict was not yet in sight. He vowed to strike Iran extremely hard and threatened to target their energy infrastructure if no agreement was reached.

The closure of the strategic maritime route in the Strait of Hormuz led to a surge in oil prices and global economic instability. The Revolutionary Guards of Iran reiterated that the strait would remain closed to their enemies, while London prepared for a virtual meeting to ensure security in the region post-conflict.

Following Trump’s speech, oil prices surged past $105 per barrel. The economic repercussions of the war continue to escalate, with concerns about inflation, job security, and food stability highlighted by the World Bank.

Amid ongoing attacks, Iran and Israel engaged in intense airstrikes, with explosions heard in Tehran and retaliation signs in both countries. While Israel claimed success in targeting Iranian nuclear and ballistic programs, the campaign was declared ongoing.

In Lebanon, casualties from Israeli airstrikes surpassed 1,300, with Hezbollah’s involvement escalating the conflict since early March. Israel also threatened to occupy parts of southern Lebanon once the war concludes.
