The situation on the front is currently “quite tense,” declared Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, stating that the Russian army is seeking to intensify their offensive efforts.

According to the Ukrainian president, this strategy only increases Moscow’s losses without compromising Kyiv’s operations.

“The Russians are trying to multiply their attacks, but this only increases their losses and does not hinder our operations,” wrote the head of state on Facebook after receiving a report from the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, Oleksandr Syrsky.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Russia has not achieved its objectives in the border regions of Sumy, Kharkiv, or Donbass, and once again, its advances fall short of its ambitions.

“On the southern front, our units continue their missions. I thank every unit, every soldier, every sergeant, and every officer,” he added, specifying that he also discussed with Oleksandr Syrsky the issues related to strikes deep into Russian territory.

According to data provided by the Ukrainian president, Russian forces have lost 89,000 men, killed or seriously injured, between January 1 and March 26 of this year.
