A tight-knit quartet. As Céline Dion prepares to make her return to the stage in Paris, her three children are never far away. In the summer of 2024, René-Charles Angélil was, of course, in the French capital to watch his mother perform “L’Hymne à l’amour” during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

René-Charles Angelil, the pillar. The son of Céline Dion and René Angélil was born on January 25, 2001. After his birth, the Quebec singer explained: “When I held René-Charles in my arms, I no longer wanted to sing.” But the boy with long hair is now a young adult on whom his mother can rely.

During his father’s funeral, René-Charles Angélil spoke and delivered an emotional speech: “Fifteen years, it doesn’t leave much time for a son to get to know his father. We got closer and even closer as time passed. Today, you leave me with enough good memories to share with my brothers. When they grow up, without you by our sides, I will make sure to pass on what you taught me. You are a difficult role model to follow, but with your help, everything will be fine.” A true pillar for Céline Dion.

Passionate about poker, golf, and ice hockey, René-Charles Angélil also thrives in the world of music. In 2001, he released his first EP with five tracks under the pseudonym Bigtip.

Nelson and Eddy, the discreet ones. The twins, Nelson and Eddy, were born on October 23, 2010. Their names were chosen as a tribute to Nelson Mandela and the composer Eddy Marnay, who worked closely with Céline Dion for a long time. “A double blessing,” according to the singer, who fought to become pregnant again.

The two boys grow up away from prying eyes. Homeschooled since their early childhood, little is known about René-Charles’ younger brothers. They were only six years old when their father took his last breath, and the heart-wrenching images of their presence at the funeral circulated around the world. Now teenagers, they occasionally appear on social media, by their mother’s side.

In January 2025, the whole family posed to pay tribute to René Angélil, who had passed away nine years earlier. Will they also follow their mother for her return to Paris.
