A successful international tournament at the Thionville Squash Club

The Thionville Espace Énergie Squash Club hosted a PSA Satellite and its annual Open on June 5 and 6. Two days of high-level competition which brought together professional players, amateurs and numerous spectators in an atmosphere praised by all participants.

The first weekend of June was marked by a wonderful squash festival in Thionville. Organized by the Thionville Espace Énergie Squash Club, the PSA Satellite and the Open brought together players from several European countries.

In the PSA Satellite tournament, Frenchman Amir Khaled Jousselin won ahead of Scottish Alasdair Prott. The German Jan Wipperfurth completes the podium. In Open A, Belgian Florian Mathieu won ahead of Frenchman Justin Philippon and Thionvillois Nicolas Herman. In Open B, victory went to Belgian Gilles Boniver.

The organizers highlight the numerous positive feedback from players, who praised the quality of the event. Building on this success, the club is already planning a new edition of the PSA Satellite next June, with the ambition of reaching a new milestone, and of being accompanied by the city of Thionville in this adventure.
