The sketch was aired on the Sky One television channel. It shows Keir Starmer, portrayed by George Fouracres, in panic at Downing Street at the idea of having to speak to Donald Trump on the phone. He turns to a fake David Lammy, his deputy prime minister, asking, “What if Donald shouts at me?”

Donald Trump shared a sketch from the new British show Saturday Night Live on his Truth Social network on Sunday. The sketch, inspired by the American version, features Prime Minister Keir Starmer terrified of having to call the American president.

The sketch was broadcast on the Sky One television channel as the opening of the first British “SNL” show, an adaptation of the famous American satirical program. In the sketch, Keir Starmer, played by George Fouracres, is in panic at Downing Street at the thought of speaking to Donald Trump on the phone. He turns to a fake David Lammy, his deputy prime minister, asking, “What if Donald shouts at me?”

When the president answers, he quickly hangs up, questioning why it is “so difficult” to speak to this “scary” and “wonderful” president. “Be honest and tell him we can’t send any more ships to the Strait of Hormuz,” David Lammy responds, played by Hammed Animashaun. “I just want to make him happy, Lammy. You don’t understand him like I do,” the fake Starmer adds.

The American president simply shared the video on his Truth Social network without adding any comments.

Donald Trump has been launching personal attacks against Keir Starmer since the beginning of the war against Iran on February 28, accusing him of not fully supporting his great American ally in the Middle East war. “This is not Winston Churchill we’re dealing with,” he had sharply criticized in early March in the Oval Office of the White House, expressing his displeasure with London initially refusing the use of its military bases by the United States. “The UK has been very, very uncooperative,” Trump fumed, also telling the British press that he had been “very disappointed” by Keir Starmer.
