CCL Industries, a Canadian packaging solutions provider and a global leader in label manufacturing, is set to acquire Sleever International, the French specialist in shrink films for consumer goods and healthcare products. The deal is estimated at $151 million (around 130 million euros).

Based near Paris, the family-owned Sleever had a revenue of around 185 million euros in 2025 (approximately 213 million dollars). The company has eleven production sites in Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Poland, China, and Brazil.

Sleever France controls the entire sleeve process, from film extrusion to application on packaging, including printing, shaping, and manufacturing machines tailored for this purpose.

The transaction is expected to be finalized by mid-2026, after completing necessary procedures, including consultations with works councils in France.

“We have known Eric Fresnel, the visionary entrepreneur, leader, and main shareholder of Sleever, for nearly 20 years. We are delighted to combine our respective sleeve ranges, which together will represent a revenue of around $700 million in 2025. Over the next few years, our goal is to raise Sleever’s EBITDA margins to CCL’s average level on this segment, through an investment strategy focused on accelerating innovation, reducing costs, and creating new growth opportunities. Eric Fresnel will continue to support us as a consultant, and we look forward to welcoming Sleever’s 900 employees to our company,” said Geoffrey T. Martin, CEO of CCL Industries.
