As Americans and Iranians negotiate on Saturday, April 11 in Pakistan, the Israeli army continues its deadly strikes and conquest of southern Lebanon.
The American and Iranian delegations are meeting on Saturday, April 11 in Pakistan to discuss ending the conflict that began in late February with bombings by the United States and Israel on Iran.
A senior Iranian source stated that the United States had accepted one of Tehran’s preconditions for these discussions – unfreezing Iranian assets held in Qatar and other foreign banks. This gesture, not yet confirmed by Washington, is believed to be directly linked to allowing a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, Israel continues its strikes.
In addition to frozen assets, Iran is demanding a ceasefire in Lebanon before negotiating with the United States, while Israeli campaigns against Lebanese Hezbollah, allies of Tehran, have resulted in over 2,000 deaths since early March.
Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed 10 people, including three rescuers on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health. The ministry condemns Israeli attacks on rescuers, suspected by the Hebrew state of being affiliated with Hezbollah.
The Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon aim to control or annex approximately 10% of the country.
Despite discussions between the US and Iran, Benjamin Netanyahu and his “Jewish supremacist” government, as described by Israeli opposition, continue their actions. According to Haaretz, Israel is more cunning than President Donald Trump and carries out acts of annihilation and destruction in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria without facing global intervention to stop them.
